Practicing Self-Love
Last week, you may have celebrated Valentine’s Day by showering your partner, friends or family with love...but did you take any time to show yourself some love? Self-love means having a high regard for your own well-being and happiness - something you should do every single day!
True self-love must come from within. It does not mean you are always perfect or always happy, but rather accepting yourself as you are in this moment. Self-love is prioritizing yourself and giving yourself the same compassion, grace, and gentleness that you would give your best friend, even when you struggle.
Practicing self-love can mean something different to different people. Sometimes it means setting boundaries and putting yourself first to make space to identify your own needs and wants. It’s important to remember that taking the time to develop self-love is not selfish, it grows from self-care that supports your mind, body and soul. We thought it would be fun to share a list of things you can do to show your body some love. When you do any of these things with intention and purpose, they will help you feel better: mind, body, and soul. And you definitely deserve it!
Get some fresh air and sunshine
Move your body with an exercise that you love
Set some healthy boundaries with family and friends
Do something creative
