What does a treatment with Sarah look like?

Chinese + Japanese acupuncture is a new treatment offered by our lovely practitioner, Sarah Dufresne, for both adults and children. This experience with Sarah differs from our traditional acupuncture treatments in that she incorporates her wisdom and education in Traditional Chinese and Japanese Medicine, Moxibustion, Ayurveda, Mindfulness Meditation, Energy Medicine & Nutrition. The treatments are focused on helping patients experience harmony within your body.

These custom sessions are rich with ways to encourage your body to operate at its optimal capacity. In addition to your acupuncture treatment, you may also experience adjuncts consisting of moxibustion, cupping, gua sha and tuina. Sarah provides practical tools to help patients add balance in their daily life: changes in diet, hydration, routines, additions of stillness or movement as well as planting seeds of inquiry into the patient’s intentions for better health.

Sarah enjoys helping her patients put the pieces together to better understand their health and find balance. She listens deeply to her patients, helping them feel safe, seen, and heard.

Below are examples of cases to demonstrate the type of support and recommendations provided with Sarah’s treatments here at Blue Heron:
